Strider Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in the state of Washington in September 2009 to offer direct help to people in need through social charity websites such as
Wish Upon A Hero (
http://WishUponAHero.com).
The primary mode of operation by Strider Foundation is to provide interest-free loans to WUAH members with established and good standing to help them get through short-term financial hardship. In particular, we will be helping WUAH members with regular incomes who in general are able to support their own living, but occasionally get thrown into financial distress due to unexpected events such as illness, accidents, car and appliance breakdown, etc. Typical scenarios include helping them avoid utility disconnection, avoid home eviction, pay for emergency care or urgent medical needs, pay for critical repairs, etc.
Here are some of the current requirements, which we will continue to refine as we learn through our actual operation:
* Member status must be certified and wish must be verified by WUAH Admin/Security;
* Ability to provide proof of financial distress;
* Ability to provide proof of regular income;
* Ability to pay back the loan in full within 30 to 60 days (typical loan amount will be between $100 and $300).
